Sonia Friedman Productions are the UK’s most decorated theatre production company. SFP’s incredible success meant that the company was bursting at the seams and for two years had been looking for a space in West End Theatreland from their previous home at the Duke of York’s theatre.
With a desire to retain the charming, characterful home they had been used to, SFP hired us to work with contractors TC&D to transform the newly selected corporate office into a space that would embody the theatrical nature of their business.
The ideal outcome was something similar to a Georgian townhouse, a unique challenge for trifle* and expectations were high. Working with Sonia and her team, the colour palette chosen was dark and rich. A complementary mixture of textures, woods, velvets and leather added to the cosy feel. Original theatre chairs were reupholstered in gold for the boardroom, providing both character and overspill seating for large meetings. Placing the fantastic props acquired from the productions in every nook and cranny allowed us to inject a theatrical feel throughout the space.
