Where required changes are minimal or a space is temporary, a simple office refresh is all that’s needed to create a big difference to everyday business.

Our small works service keeps budgets low and timelines streamlined. It is ideal for smaller office spaces requiring minimal change; for office spaces that have had a generic CAT A+ fit out or for larger spaces that require some finishing touches and styling . We take great care to ensure the design is well thought out, but we ensure that we provide the most pragmatic decisions to make the budget work at its hardest and keep timelines minimal.

Critical to success is our eye for colour and our magic touches of styling at the end of the process that inject life and personality into the scheme.

Are you in need of an office refresh?

If you have an existing or temporary office that is a little dated or that feels a little bland then our small works service could be great for you.

Simple changes like an improved furniture layout, adding colour with paint and/or new furniture and accessories can create big changes in any space. We’ve used this to great effect where structural changes are either minimal or not required; where short term solutions are required or in smaller scale spaces.

For our clients at Acacia Avenue, the basic structure of their space was great. A small reconfiguration of the space, a new colour palette and some key furniture and accessories were all it took to transform their office space. Whilst at Moo, on the road to helping them with a larger move, we helped furnish their temporary space with second hand and vintage furniture for a sustainable, quick turnaround project that gave them a characterful short-term home and some classic pieces of furniture.

Office Refresh Process

Briefing

For a small works project to be successful, we need a very clear brief including key requirements, budget and timeline defined from the outset to make sure we can be as efficient as possible.

Concept Design

We provide spatial layout options that require no or minimal structural change and simple conceptual ideas that won’t require excessive building works.

Design Development

We create a drawing pack that enables contractors to provide accurate quotes for any small works. We can work with your preferred contractor or make recommendations. We place furniture orders at this stage once specified and approved.

Alterations and decoration

We oversee the works throughout by liaising with the contractor. We manage furniture procurement alongside any building works and ensure coordination of all suppliers.

Styling and Move In

Furniture installation and styling to bring the final design together ready for you to use.

Quantum

An office refurbishment within a grade II listed building was a joyful challenge for us at trifle*. We celebrated the beauty of the building with colour, new furniture and home-like comforts whilst adding dynamic work settings for this creative business.

After the pandemic, six companies took a shared space to allow for hybrid and agile working while still providing a hub for their people.

Trifle* X FLOOR_STORY Studio and Showroom

Our new office is a home to both our studio and our friend FLOOR_STORY’s showroom. The vision for our shared home was of a highly supportive workspace and creative hub in our neighbourhood of East London.

In 2015, Trifle* were asked to help creative agency Foxtrot Papa refresh their space and design some much needed breakout spaces to foster collaboration and creativity.
